Oppo Pad 5 Pro lands in China: a 13.2-inch 144Hz tablet powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
Oppo has unveiled the Pad 5 Pro in China, positioning it as its top-tier Android tablet alongside new Find-series phone launches. The device targets premium buyers with a large screen, flagship silicon and an upgraded speaker setup.
The headline feature is a 13.2-inch LCD with a 3 392 x 2 400 resolution and a 7:5 aspect ratio aimed at productivity and media use. Oppo says the panel reaches up to 1 000 nits peak brightness and supports a 144 Hz refresh rate plus Dolby Vision.
Flagship chip and large battery
Inside, the Oppo Pad 5 Pro runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. Oppo also advertises an AnTuTu score above 4.47 million, signaling a focus on top-end performance.
Power comes from a 13 380 mAh battery with 67 W fast charging over USB-C, with the port listed as USB 3.2 Gen 1. Despite the battery size, Oppo claims the tablet is 5.94 mm thick and weighs 672 g.
Cameras, software and connectivity
For imaging, the tablet includes a 13 MP rear camera with 4K video at 30 fps and an 8 MP front camera for calls. Audio is handled by an eight-speaker system, complemented by two microphones.
On the software side, it ships with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, as Oppo pushes newer multitasking features for large screens. Connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 7 support, aligning the device with the latest high-end router standards.
Pricing and what comes next
The Pad 5 Pro arrives in Dawn Gold, Mocha Brown and Monet Purple, with four memory configurations. Prices start at CNY 4 299 for 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, rising to CNY 5 499 for 16 GB and 512 GB.
Oppo has not yet announced international availability, leaving buyers outside China waiting for regional plans. The launch also comes as rivals push bigger, faster tablets, including closely specced models from sister brands such as OnePlus.
