Lilygo T-Watch Ultra pre-orders reopen on AliExpress, bringing LoRa and GNSS to a DIY smartwatch
Lilygo is once again taking pre-orders for its T-Watch Ultra, a DIY-focused smartwatch built around Espressif’s ESP32-S3 platform.
After a limited earlier batch sold out on the company’s own store, the device has resurfaced via Lilygo’s official AliExpress storefront for US buyers.
The AliExpress listing shows the SX1262 LoRa versions in 868 MHz and 915 MHz available to order, priced at $94.98 at the time of writing. The product page also references a May 21 release date, suggesting this run is being handled as a scheduled launch rather than immediate shipping.
Developer-first hardware and radios
Positioned as a maker-friendly wearable, the T-Watch Ultra supports Arduino, ESP-IDF and MicroPython, aligning it with common ESP32 development workflows. Lilygo lists 16 MB of flash storage and 8 MB of PSRAM, alongside Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
Beyond standard smartwatch radios, the watch integrates a Semtech SX1262 LoRa transceiver and a GNSS module, expanding its appeal for outdoor logging and low-power, long-range projects. Lilygo also includes an SD card slot for local storage, which is still rare in mainstream wearables.
Display, battery and extra sensors
On the front, the T-Watch Ultra uses a 2.01-inch AMOLED display with a 410 x 502 pixel resolution. Lilygo also advertises a 1 100 mAh battery, plus practical add-ons like a vibration motor and a microphone for app or firmware-driven features.
The spec sheet further mentions NFC, underscoring that this is a platform for experimentation rather than a closed ecosystem watch. Lilygo has not provided a clear timeline for restocking the model on its own website, making AliExpress the primary pre-order route for now.
