Google Health Premium surfaces in Pixel Watch 4 listings, hinting at a new paid layer for Fitbit features
Google appears to be preparing a new subscription called Google Health Premium, after the name and pricing surfaced in product and app listings tied to upcoming wearables.
The early references suggest it could arrive alongside the Pixel Watch 4 and a rumored Fitbit Air device.
In Google’s online store flow for Pixel Watch 4, a recommendation for Google Health Premium is shown at €8.99 per month. Separately, the Fitbit app has displayed pricing of $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year, pointing to a coordinated rollout across Google’s health ecosystem.
How it compares with Fitbit Premium?
The listed annual price would put Google Health Premium above Fitbit Premium’s current yearly cost in the US. It remains unclear whether Google intends Health Premium to replace Fitbit Premium, run alongside it as a higher tier, or bundle features differently by device.
Branding also appears to be in place, with a logo that uses Google’s color gradient inside a heart shape. That kind of preparation typically signals a product is moving beyond internal testing, though Google has not publicly detailed the plan.
What features could be paywalled?
Recent rumors have pointed to advanced coaching tools as a central part of the new subscription, including a Fitbit Personal Health Coach experience that can generate training plans and respond to workout questions.
If that arrives as described, Google Health Premium could be positioned as a more guided, software-first layer on top of basic tracking.
The timing of the listings has fueled expectations of a near-term launch, but availability and final pricing may vary by region. Until Google formally announces Google Health Premium, it is also uncertain which features will be included on Pixel Watch 4, Fitbit devices, or both.
