Huawei Watch Fit 5 and Fit 5 Pro debut with brighter AMOLED screens and a new stretch-tracking feature

Huawei Watch Fit 5 and Fit 5 Pro debut with brighter AMOLED screens and a new stretch-tracking feature

Huawei has launched the Watch Fit 5 and Watch Fit 5 Pro in China, expanding its slim smartwatch line with larger, brighter AMOLED displays and new fitness software.

The company is positioning the pair as lightweight wearables focused on everyday health tracking and training.

Both watches introduce a wrist-based micro-movement stretching feature, designed to prompt short mobility breaks across multiple body areas.

Huawei says the tool includes 30 guided movement types and aims to reduce stiffness in places like the neck, back and shoulders.

Display and design upgrades

The Huawei Watch Fit 5 keeps a 1.82-inch AMOLED panel but raises peak brightness to 2 500 nits. It uses an aluminum alloy case that is 9.5 mm thick and weighs about 27.0 g, targeting comfort for all-day wear.

The Watch Fit 5 Pro steps up to a 1.92-inch AMOLED display rated up to 3 000 nits, and adds sapphire glass protection and a titanium alloy bezel. It is slightly heavier at about 30.4 g, reflecting its more premium materials.

Health tracking and battery claims

Huawei says heart-rate tracking is more accurate thanks to an upgraded sensor, alongside the usual range of fitness and health metrics. GPS is included, and the company estimates around seven days of typical use, depending on settings and activity.

On the Pro model, Huawei adds an ECG function for rhythm monitoring, plus support for diving activities up to 40 m. These features are aimed at buyers who want more advanced health data and sport modes without moving to a larger, bulkier watch.

Pricing and release timeline

In China, the Watch Fit 5 is listed for CNY 1 099 to 1 199, while the Watch Fit 5 Pro is priced at CNY 2 099 to 2 199. Huawei has set April 29 as the release date for the series in its home market.

An international rollout has not been formally dated, though market rumors point to European pricing around €199 for the Watch Fit 5 and €299 for the Fit 5 Pro. Huawei has not confirmed those figures or launch timing outside China.
