Redmi Watch 6 NFC appears in early European listings, hinting at a wider global launch for Xiaomi’s budget AMOLED smartwatch
Xiaomi appears to be preparing an international release of the Redmi Watch 6 NFC, after multiple European retailers began listing the wearable ahead of any official announcement.
The early listings suggest Xiaomi’s budget smartwatch could reach more markets soon, with NFC positioned as the key upgrade.
Several Hungary-based stores have posted product pages for the Redmi Watch 6 NFC in two color options, indicating regional availability beyond China. The pricing shown is around HUF 41 000, or roughly $135, though final local prices can vary by taxes and retailer margins.
NFC could be the main change
The listings specifically reference NFC, a feature commonly used for tap-to-pay and quick pairing, and one that has not always been available on Xiaomi’s lower-cost global wearables.
Whether payments work will still depend on regional support and Xiaomi’s payment partner setup in each country.
The Redmi Watch 6 originally launched in China more than six months ago, and the global version has not yet been formally detailed by Xiaomi. Even so, retailers accepting pre-orders typically signals that distribution channels and a launch window are already being coordinated.
Xiaomi often bundles new wearables into broader international product events, which could explain the lack of standalone messaging so far. If the Redmi Watch 6 NFC is indeed imminent, official specifications, supported regions, and confirmed services like tap-to-pay should follow shortly.
