ARC Raiders Riven Tides Arrives April 28: A New Beach Map, ARC Turbine Enemy and Limited-Time Event

Embark Studios is rolling out Riven Tides, a major ARC Raiders update scheduled to go live on April 28. The drop continues the studio’s monthly update cadence in 2026, pairing fresh gameplay content with a new progression push for returning players.

The headline addition is Azzurro Beach, a new coastal map set along a deserted shoreline that the game’s machines now control.

Embark positions it as a failed holdout from the First Wave, with points of interest including the Panorama Azzurro resort and a sprawling dockyard.

A new enemy changes the tempo

Riven Tides also introduces the ARC Turbine, a floating machine designed to play differently from enemies that immediately chase players.

Embark says it appears calm at range, but becomes a punishing defensive threat up close, rewarding patience and careful positioning.

Exploration on the beach gets its own twist with Beachcombing, a minor condition that centers on finding buried loot. Players can use the Dockmaster’s Detector, but the tool occupies one weapon slot, forcing a trade-off between firepower and higher-value scavenging runs.

New gear and a timed grind

To support traversal, the update adds tools such as the Crash Mat and Powered Descender, aimed at reducing the risk of fall damage during movement-heavy routes. Embark is framing the additions as practical utility rather than pure power, encouraging smarter pathing around vertical spaces.

From April 28 through May 25, the Last Resort Event will award Merits based on XP earned during successful runs, unlocking multiple pages of cosmetic rewards. The event also includes collectible Ship Models for bonus Merits and offers up to 250 extra Raider Tokens for use in the in-game shop.

A new Raider Project called Avian Alarm adds longer-term objectives tied to the coastline, tasking players with building a makeshift monitoring system. Completing its stages is set to unlock the Dockmaster’s Detector alongside additional items, keeping Riven Tides progression moving beyond the first week.
