PlayStation Store departures: Six PS4 and PS5 games face delisting or shutdown by June 1
Several PlayStation titles are set to disappear from sale or lose key online features in the coming weeks, underscoring how quickly digital libraries can change.
Across PS4 and PS5, six games are slated for delisting, reduced support, or full server shutdowns spanning May and June.
The most disruptive change affects Rec Room on PlayStation, where in-game purchases are scheduled to be disabled on May 1. Online services on PS4 and PS5 are then set to be switched off on June 1, cutting off access to its multiplayer social spaces on those consoles.
What is being removed and when?
Zen Studios is also adjusting its pinball catalogue on PS4, with Pinball FX3 expected to become hidden on the PlayStation Store at an unspecified point in May. The PS4 versions of Pinball FX and Pinball M are set to end support on June 1, meaning no further updates or new content for those editions.
Battlefield Hardline on PS4 is scheduled to be delisted on May 22, followed by an online services shutdown on June 22. Players will still be able to access offline components, but multiplayer functionality is expected to end when servers go dark.
Horizon Chase Turbo is also scheduled to be delisted from the PlayStation Store on June 1, including its add-on content. Owners should still be able to download and play what they have already purchased, but new buyers will lose the option once it is removed.
Why delistings are accelerating?
Publishers typically point to a mix of factors behind removals, including declining player counts, rising server and support costs, and licensing constraints. As the PS4 moves deeper into its second decade, more developers are concentrating resources on newer platforms, which can hasten end-of-life decisions.
For players, the practical impact varies by game: titles with robust single-player modes often remain playable, while online-only experiences can effectively vanish overnight.
The latest wave is a reminder to check store pages and planned shutdown dates if you want to buy, download, or back up content before access changes.
