Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 update adds Battery Manager flashlight tracking and rowing machine support

Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 update adds Battery Manager flashlight tracking and rowing machine support

Amazfit is rolling out firmware version 4.7.3.1 for the T-Rex Ultra 2, expanding workout compatibility and adding new battery monitoring tools. The update follows earlier April releases that introduced features such as a golf mode and additional running metrics.

The headline feature is broader third-party device support, with the T-Rex Ultra 2 now able to connect to rowing machines during a Rowing Machine workout.

The watch can display metrics such as power and distance on-wrist, aiming to make indoor training sessions easier to track without checking the machine console.

For Outdoor Run and Trail Run, Amazfit says users can now view pace data by segment, offering a clearer look at how speed changes across splits.

The track page also gains a Navigation entry, reflecting the company’s ongoing push to improve route and activity pages.

A new Battery Manager focus

On the power side, Battery Manager now reports usage metrics tied specifically to the watch’s built-in LED flashlight. That addition should help users understand how often the light is used and how much it contributes to battery drain during longer trips or night activities.

Amazfit is also adding a toggle for watch face status indicators under Settings, alongside general interaction improvements on workout-related pages. The company says AMRAP mode has been refined as well, targeting high-intensity formats such as HYROX and HIIT.

The company has not provided a precise global rollout timeline for firmware 4.7.3.1, and availability can vary by region. When it reaches a device, the update can be installed through the Zepp app.
