Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro goes global: 3 000-nit AMOLED and 20-day battery aim at premium rivals

Amazfit has launched the Cheetah 2 Pro globally, positioning the new model as a premium running-focused smartwatch with an emphasis on outdoor visibility and endurance.

The company is highlighting a bright AMOLED screen and long claimed battery life as key differentiators.

The Cheetah 2 Pro features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display in a 48 mm case, with a stated peak brightness of up to 3 000 nits and a 466 x 466 resolution. Amazfit says the panel is protected by sapphire glass, a choice more common in higher-priced wearables.

Battery and GPS focus

Powering the watch is a 540 mAh battery that Amazfit rates at up to 20 days with moderate activity, up to 7 days in smartwatch mode, or up to 29 hours with GPS enabled. Real-world results typically vary with screen brightness, satellite mode and workout frequency.

For tracking, the company lists an Airoha AG3353 GNSS module and an in-house 5PD PPG heart-rate sensor, alongside a speaker and digital microphone. The watch also carries a 5 ATM water-resistance rating and includes a built-in LED flashlight.

Price climbs from the last model

In Europe, the Cheetah 2 Pro is priced at €449 including taxes, while US pricing is set at $449. The new price marks a significant step up from the previous Cheetah Pro’s launch positioning, signaling a clearer move into the premium segment.

Amazfit is betting that ultra-high peak brightness, sapphire protection and long battery claims will resonate with runners comparing options from Garmin, Apple and others. The bigger question will be whether its fitness metrics and GPS consistency justify the higher tier.
