Xiaomi Mijia 10 kg ultra-slim washer-dryer arrives on Youpin: Smart drying, steam sterilization and a space-saving design

Xiaomi has launched a new Mijia 10 kg ultra-slim washer-dryer on its Youpin crowdfunding-style retail platform, expanding its home appliance lineup with a model aimed at smaller apartments and built-in installs.

The company lists a 1 999 yuan price in China, with an introductory offer of 1 599 yuan.

The headline feature is its space-saving cabinet depth of 540 mm, paired with a minimalist front design intended to sit flush with modern interiors. Xiaomi also highlights a 15 mm installation gap designed to reduce dust buildup around the unit.

Designed for compact built-in installs

The washer-dryer uses a rotary knob combined with a flat control panel, keeping physical controls simple while still offering multiple presets.

Xiaomi says it uses a 525 mm drum to give fabrics more room to tumble, which can help reduce creasing during washing and drying.

For washing performance, the company advertises a 1.25 wash ratio and a 3D water-flow system that pre-mixes detergent before it reaches clothing. The goal, Xiaomi says, is deeper penetration during washing and improved rinsing to reduce leftover residue.

More programs and automated washing

According to Xiaomi, the machine supports 26 wash and dry programs, including settings tailored for delicate fabrics such as silk and wool as well as bulkier items like down jackets. An intelligent wash mode automatically adjusts water level, time and energy use based on the detected load.

For drying, Xiaomi promotes a high-airflow system alongside a smart drying mode meant to avoid overdrying and unnecessary energy use. The company positions these features as a way to balance speed with fabric care.

Connectivity via HyperOS Connect

Hygiene features include steam sterilization that Xiaomi claims can eliminate 99.999% of bacteria and viruses, plus a high-temperature drum cleaning mode for maintenance. The unit also includes a nano antibacterial door seal intended to resist mold and bacterial buildup over time.

Smart features are delivered through HyperOS Connect, enabling remote control, progress monitoring and scheduling in the Mijia app, as well as XiaoAI voice control. Xiaomi also says it uses a seven-layer noise-reduction system to keep operation quieter.

The release follows other recent Mijia laundry launches, including an ultra-slim 12 kg washing machine, signaling Xiaomi’s continued push into major appliances alongside its phones and smart home ecosystem. Availability and broader regional rollout outside China have not been detailed.
