Oppo Watch X3 Mini debuts in China: a smaller Wear OS smartwatch with 1 000-nit AMOLED and eSIM, global launch teased
Oppo has expanded its smartwatch lineup with the Watch X3 Mini, a compact model launched in China that targets buyers who want flagship features in a smaller case.
The new watch follows the global debut of the larger Watch X3, but adds connectivity options that many users have been waiting for.
The Watch X3 Mini uses a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a 466 x 466 resolution and brightness that can reach 1 000 nits outdoors. That specification is designed to improve readability in sunlight, a common pain point for smaller watch displays.
Smaller case, familiar core hardware
Oppo says the Watch X3 Mini comes in a 43 mm case, down from the 47 mm size used by the standard Watch X3. The company keeps much of the internal platform unchanged, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and 2 GB of RAM.
Battery capacity is listed at 354 mAh, the same figure used on the previous Mini generation. Oppo rates battery life at about 1.5 days with an always-on display enabled, or around 2.5 days with it turned off, depending on usage.
eSIM, NFC and health sensors onboard
Unlike the globally sold Watch X3, the Watch X3 Mini includes eSIM support in China, enabling calls and data away from a paired phone where carriers support the feature. The watch also includes GPS and NFC, positioning it as a full-featured daily wearable rather than a trimmed-down companion.
On the health side, Oppo lists skin temperature monitoring among its sensor suite. Availability of certain advanced health features can vary by market and regulatory approvals, which has previously affected what Oppo enables outside China.
Pricing and global release timing
In China, the Watch X3 Mini starts at CNY 1 999, while a gold variant is priced at CNY 2 499. Oppo has hinted at plans for broader availability, but has not provided a specific timeline or confirmed international pricing.
The company’s recent pattern suggests a wider launch may follow after the China release, especially as earlier Mini models have been sold outside the domestic market. For now, buyers elsewhere will need to wait for regional announcements covering carriers, eSIM support and software details.
