OnePlus Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite: India sale dates set as big batteries and 144Hz displays headline the launch

OnePlus has confirmed that it will unveil the Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite in India on May 7, expanding its mid-range Nord portfolio ahead of the summer sales season.

The company has also outlined when each phone will be available to buy, offering a clearer timeline for early shoppers.

Following the launch event, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 is set to go on sale on May 8 at 12 pm IST, while the Nord CE 6 Lite will follow on May 12 at 12 pm IST.

Both models will be sold via Amazon India, the OnePlus India website, OnePlus Experience Stores and broader offline retail channels.

What the Nord CE 6 offers?

The Nord CE 6 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and pair it with an AMOLED display featuring 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. A standout claim is an 8 000 mAh battery, alongside 80W wired fast charging and 27W reverse charging.

Other reported features include dual stereo speakers and a 32-megapixel front camera with autofocus. The phone is also tipped to carry multiple durability ratings, including IP66, IP68 and IP69, alongside MIL-STD-810H compliance claims.

Nord CE 6 Lite and pricing expectations

The Nord CE 6 Lite is expected to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset and UFS 3.1 storage, with a large vapor chamber cooling system aimed at sustained performance. It is also tipped to feature a 6.72-inch full-HD+ panel with up to 144Hz refresh rate support in select apps and games.

Battery and camera upgrades are also a focus, with reports pointing to a 7 000 mAh battery with 45W charging and a 50-megapixel rear camera capable of 4K video.

Pricing has not been announced, but expectations place the Nord CE 6 around Rs 25 000 to Rs 30 000 and the Nord CE 6 Lite around Rs 20 000 to Rs 25 000, depending on configuration.

OnePlus has already confirmed color options, with the Nord CE 6 expected in Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl and Pitch Black, while the Nord CE 6 Lite is slated for Vivid Mint and Hyper Black.

With sale dates now locked in, attention will turn to final India pricing and whether OnePlus can deliver these headline specs at aggressive mid-range price points.
