vivo X300 FE arrives in Europe with Zeiss telephoto extender option, but its pricing raises questions

vivo has begun selling the X300 FE in parts of Europe, listing the phone in its official online stores in Spain, Austria and Hungary. The rollout follows weeks of delayed availability after the handset’s initial introduction.

The X300 FE is priced at €1 000 in these markets and is offered in Purple and Black. vivo is also promoting extended coverage, including 3+1 years of warranty and a separate 5-year battery warranty, alongside a case and pre-installed screen protector.

A Zeiss camera kit sweetens the deal

Alongside the standard model, vivo is selling a €1 200 bundle built around a Zeiss Professional Kit. The pack includes a Zeiss Gen 2 telephoto extender lens designed for a 200 mm equivalent reach, plus the mounting case, lens pouch, lanyard and a 90W charger.

In a limited early-buyer promotion, the first 200 purchases in participating stores are set to include a vivo Watch GT 2 at no extra cost. The wearable is typically sold separately for around €130, depending on local pricing and promotions.

How it compares with vivo X300?

The European pricing also puts the X300 FE uncomfortably close to the vivo X300, which has been advertised in vivo’s store with discounts that undercut the FE. That overlap could push buyers to weigh whether the FE’s extras justify paying more for a phone positioned as a smaller flagship.

Both models share a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display and support 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. The X300 FE pairs its design with a 6 500 mAh battery, while the European X300 is listed with a smaller 5 360 mAh capacity.

Chipset and camera trade-offs

Under the hood, the X300 FE uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while the X300 is built around MediaTek’s Dimensity 9 500. The camera approach also differs, with the FE using a 50 MP main sensor versus the X300’s higher-resolution 200 MP main camera.

The phones are closer on telephoto hardware, with both featuring 50 MP zoom cameras in the 70 mm range, and they share a 50 MP front camera. The ultra-wide camera is a clearer split: the FE uses an 8 MP module, while the X300 steps up to a 50 MP ultra-wide.

vivo has not yet outlined a full EU-wide availability schedule for the X300 FE beyond the initial countries. Further expansion will likely determine whether the Zeiss lens bundle and warranty perks are enough to stand out in a crowded premium segment.
