Vivo Y600 Pro debuts in China with a 10 200 mAh battery: what 90 W charging and an AMOLED screen mean at this price

Vivo has started selling the Y600 Pro in China, positioning it as a value-focused smartphone built around an unusually large 10 200 mAh battery. The device arrives as the company refreshes its Y-series lineup, alongside the recently introduced Y500s.

The Y600 Pro pairs its big battery with 90 W wired fast charging, aiming to reduce the downtime that typically comes with higher-capacity cells.

Vivo has not provided a timeline for international availability, suggesting the launch is China-first for now.

A big battery, midrange trade-offs

Powering the phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300e, a variant of the Dimensity 7300 platform that generally targets mainstream performance.

Vivo’s configuration is designed to balance power draw and cost, rather than compete with higher-end gaming-focused chipsets.

Despite its oversized camera module, photography hardware appears straightforward, led by a 50 MP rear camera and a 32 MP front camera. The approach reflects the Y-series focus on everyday shooting rather than multi-sensor versatility.

AMOLED display and rugged rating

On the front, Vivo equips the Y600 Pro with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display running at 2 800 x 1 260 pixels and up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. That combination is intended to deliver smoother scrolling and richer contrast than typical LCD panels in this price band.

Vivo also advertises IP69 certification, a rating associated with strong resistance to dust and high-pressure water jets. Availability details beyond China have not been confirmed, and regional pricing will likely depend on local taxes and warranty coverage.

In China, the Vivo Y600 Pro starts at CNY 2 099 for 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, with higher tiers reaching 12 GB and 512 GB at CNY 2 899. The pricing places it in the affordable-to-midrange segment while leaning heavily on battery life as its core differentiator.
