Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro leak hints at a premium price jump and new sensors ahead of launch
New leaked images and pricing details suggest Amazfit is preparing to launch the Cheetah 2 Pro, a follow-up to its running-focused Cheetah Pro smartwatch.
The information was shared by well-known leaker Roland Quandt and follows earlier appearances of the watch in official Amazfit marketing.
The latest leak points to a revised rear sensor layout that looks more complex than the current model, hinting at upgraded health or fitness tracking hardware.
The watch is also said to use a two-pin charging connector similar to the one seen on Amazfit’s Active 3 Premium.
Hardware changes hinted in images
Externally, the Cheetah 2 Pro appears to swap the digital crown-style control for a second physical button, a change that could better suit athletes using gloves or navigating workouts mid-run.
The images also suggest an expanded microphone or speaker area, which may improve call handling or voice features.
While Amazfit has not published full specifications, the design tweaks align with a broader push in sports wearables toward more reliable controls and improved sensor accuracy. That trend has accelerated as brands compete on training metrics, recovery insights, and GPS performance.
Pricing leak points to big increase
According to Quandt, the Cheetah 2 Pro could launch at around €459, up from roughly €299 for the original Cheetah Pro. If that pricing carries over directly, it could place the watch at about £459 in the UK and $459 in the US, though regional taxes and conversions may differ.
That would move the Cheetah line closer to premium rivals, raising expectations for meaningful upgrades beyond design changes. Amazfit has not confirmed launch timing or final pricing, and the company’s official announcement is still pending.
