EA Sports UFC 6 Set for June 2026: What We Know About Editions, Cover Stars and a Possible PC Release

Electronic Arts has officially announced EA Sports UFC 6, confirming the next entry in its mixed martial arts series is scheduled to launch in June 2026.

The reveal arrived with store listings rather than a full trailer, but it still solidified months of speculation around the game.

EA’s early materials point to a two-edition rollout on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, with Alex Pereira and Max Holloway named as the cover athletes. Pereira fronts the Standard Edition cover, while Holloway is positioned as the face of the higher-priced Ultimate Edition.

Pricing, access, and content plans

The Standard Edition is listed at $69.99, aligning with current AAA console pricing, while the Ultimate Edition is priced at $99.99. EA Play subscribers are expected to see a 10% discount at launch, bringing the Ultimate Edition price down to $89.99.

Ultimate Edition buyers are also set to receive early access ahead of the main release window, plus additional post-launch content via passes and expansions. EA has signaled that one of the planned add-ons will include an exclusive mode, with broader details to be revealed closer to launch.

Frostbite returns, PC still uncertain

EA Sports UFC 6 is confirmed to be built on Frostbite, continuing the engine shift introduced with UFC 5 after earlier games relied on Ignite. The move has typically supported visual upgrades and animation work in EA’s sports lineup, though gameplay specifics have not yet been outlined.

A PC version has not been formally announced alongside the console release, but reporting around the project has suggested a later arrival could be possible. For now, EA’s published listings and marketing focus remain centered on current-generation consoles.

Why this launch matters for fans?

The next release comes as EA continues to consolidate its UFC online ecosystem around newer entries. EA Sports UFC 3’s online services were discontinued in 2025 after a lengthy run, leaving fans largely concentrated on the most recent title while waiting for the next major step forward.

With pre-orders now live on major console storefronts and a June 2026 date in view, attention is likely to shift to when EA will show extended gameplay and clarify mode changes. Until then, UFC 6’s modest reveal leaves just enough unanswered to keep fight fans watching closely.
