Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro update adds rowing machine support and smarter Battery Manager

Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro update adds rowing machine support and smarter Battery Manager

Amazfit is rolling out firmware version 4.7.3.1 for the T-Rex 3 Pro, expanding training features and refining navigation and power tools. The update follows a recent release that introduced a Lactate Threshold metric for eligible users through Zepp.

The standout addition is support for connecting FTMS-compatible rowing machines, letting the watch record key indoor metrics such as power and distance during Rowing Machine workouts.

That brings the rugged smartwatch closer to dedicated indoor-training ecosystems that rely on the FTMS standard.

New training and pacing tools

For Outdoor Run and Trail Run activities, the firmware adds segment-based equivalent pace views aimed at improving pacing feedback on varied terrain. Amazfit also updated the mid-workout track page with a new Navigation section for quicker access to route tools.

Battery Manager has been optimized to show information tied to the watch’s built-in LED flashlight, a feature many users rely on during night runs and camping. Another new toggle allows users to quickly switch between status indicators on the watch face.

Navigation fixes and longer AMRAP

Amazfit says it has tuned the navigation experience and addressed problems such as missed turn reminders. The update also extends AMRAP mode duration to up to 99 minutes, supporting longer HIIT-style sessions, including HYROX-oriented workouts.

As with many wearable firmware releases, version 4.7.3.1 is rolling out in phases, so availability may vary by region and device. Users can check for the update and install it through the Zepp app once it appears.
