Govee Table Lamp Classic launches with Matter support and a rechargeable battery for portable smart lighting

Govee has expanded its smart lighting lineup with the Table Lamp Classic, a portable lamp now on sale in North America and Europe.

The new model pairs a traditional shade-and-base look with app-controlled lighting and Matter compatibility.

The lamp uses an RGBICWW LED setup designed to deliver both colored effects and adjustable white light. Govee rates it at up to 500 lumens, with a tunable white range from 2 700K to 6 500K for warmer or cooler ambience.

What Matter adds for buyers?

Matter support is intended to make setup and day-to-day control more consistent across platforms, even when users mix devices from different brands. The Table Lamp Classic is also compatible with Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings.

Control options include the Govee Home app, where users can tailor brightness and color or select from 72 scene modes, including music-synced effects. Scheduling tools also allow the lamp to shift color temperature or brightness throughout the day.

Battery life and connectivity details

Govee says a built-in 4 800 mAh battery can power the lamp for roughly 5 to 30 hours depending on brightness and usage. The lamp supports 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, aiming to balance reliable home control with easier onboarding.

The Table Lamp Classic comes in a black finish and measures about 155 x 343 mm. Pricing is set at $79.99 in the US, £69.99 in the UK and €69.99 in the eurozone through Govee’s online stores, with availability also listed via the brand’s Amazon storefront in select markets.
