Xgimi RS30 4K laser projector lineup debuts in China, hinting at a Horizon 30 global launch

Xgimi RS30 4K laser projector lineup debuts in China, hinting at a Horizon 30 global launch

Xgimi has introduced its new RS30 series of 4K laser projectors in China, expanding its home theater lineup with four models: RS30 Pro, RS30 Pro Max, RS30 Ultra and RS30 Ultra Max.

The range is expected to be marketed internationally as the Horizon 30 series, though timing for a broader release has not been confirmed.

The RS30 family follows the company’s RS20 generation, which has been sold globally under the Horizon branding.

Xgimi is positioning the new models as premium living-room projectors that also cater to gaming, a segment where low-latency features and high refresh support have become key differentiators.

Brightness and image features

All four RS30 projectors are listed as 4K DLP models with a maximum 300-inch image and a 1.2–1.5 optical zoom range. The entry RS30 Pro is rated at up to 3 600 ISO lumens and a 4 000:1 native contrast ratio, while the RS30 Ultra Max is claimed to reach 6 800 ISO lumens and 7 000:1 native contrast.

Across the lineup, Xgimi highlights support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced, aiming to cover the most common premium HDR formats used by major streaming services and compatible players.

The projectors also include an integrated adjustable-angle stand and image tools such as keystone correction for faster setup.

Gaming, audio and connectivity

Xgimi says the RS30 series supports AMD FreeSync Premium for smoother gameplay on compatible sources, alongside HDMI 2.1 connectivity. Wireless options include Wi‑Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, designed for higher-throughput streaming and accessory pairing.

Audio is handled by built-in Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Audio support, reducing the need for an external sound system in smaller rooms. Xgimi’s GMUI 6.0 operating system is included for onboard apps and system controls, though app availability can vary by region.

Pricing and what comes next

In China, Xgimi prices start at CNY 7 499 for the RS30 Pro and rise to CNY 11 999 for the RS30 Ultra Max. If the series launches internationally as Horizon 30, regional pricing will likely depend on local taxes, distribution and software packages.

For now, the company has not announced a firm global rollout date, but the Horizon naming expectation suggests an international strategy similar to prior RS-to-Horizon transitions. Buyers outside China may want to watch for certification filings and regional product pages as early indicators of launch timing.
