Amazon Music adds Bandsintown concert listings, turning artist pages into a new ticket hub
Amazon Music is rolling out a new partnership with Bandsintown that brings concert listings directly into the streaming app, aiming to make live-show discovery part of everyday listening.
The update adds upcoming dates to artist profile pages, alongside music and other fan features.
The integration uses Bandsintown for Artists to sync events, enabling users to view local and tour stops without leaving Amazon Music. When fans choose to purchase, the app routes them to Bandsintown via a buy ticket option.
How the Bandsintown integration works?
Artists typically need to connect their Amazon Music presence within Bandsintown for event syncing to begin. Amazon Music will also surface events supplied by venues, festivals, and promoters that use Bandsintown Pro, expanding listings beyond artist-managed entries.
Amazon Music said the feature is rolling out now and is expected to be broadly available this spring on iOS and Android. The move positions the service more directly in the fast-growing market for in-app concert discovery.
Streaming services race into ticketing
Concert listings inside streaming apps have become a key battleground as platforms look for new ways to boost engagement and support artist revenue. Spotify has invested for years in live-events discovery, while other services have leaned on major ticketing partners to power similar features.
For Bandsintown, the Amazon Music deal builds on a prior collaboration that enabled merchandise sales on the streaming platform. Bandsintown says it works with more than 700 000 artists and supports promotions for over 65 000 venues and festivals, with more than 100 million registered users.
