Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Eco lands in Spain: Smart energy-saving features hint at a wider Europe rollout

Xiaomi has launched its Mijia Air Conditioner Eco range in Spain, marking a fresh push into the European market for connected climate-control appliances.

The lineup appears in multiple capacities aimed at different room sizes, combining heating and cooling in a single system.

The company is positioning the models around efficiency, with an AI-based energy-saving mode it says can cut power use by up to 24.5% under certain conditions. The units target spaces from roughly 10–20 m² up to 50–70 m², depending on the version.

Smart controls and efficiency focus

Alongside a standard remote, the Mijia Air Conditioner Eco supports remote management through the Xiaomi Home app, where users can change settings and track energy consumption.

Xiaomi also says the app can surface filter status and deliver over-the-air updates.

Google Assistant support is included for voice control, and common comfort options such as sleep and dry modes are available, alongside scheduling tools like timers. Compared with Xiaomi’s Pro-branded alternatives, the Eco models listed in Spain focus on up-down swing rather than multi-directional airflow.

Pricing and what comes next

In Xiaomi’s Spanish store, the 2.6 kW and 3.5 kW versions are listed at €469 and €519, while the 5.2 kW and 7.0 kW variants rise to €859 and €1,099. Xiaomi indicates shipments are expected to begin on April 30.

For now, the availability is confirmed for Spain, while timing for additional European countries has not been detailed. The launch nonetheless signals Xiaomi’s growing interest in bringing its Mijia smart home portfolio beyond phones and tablets into larger home appliances across the region.
