Xiaomi Smart Dehumidifier goes global: 22 L daily capacity and voice control hint at an affordable rival to premium models
Xiaomi has added its new Xiaomi Smart Dehumidifier to the company’s global product catalog, signaling a wider international rollout for the smart home appliance.
The model is positioned for common indoor spaces like bedrooms, bathrooms and storage rooms, with an added focus on helping clothes dry faster.
According to Xiaomi’s published specifications, the unit is rated for up to 22 L of dehumidification per day, a figure typically associated with medium-to-larger home dehumidifiers.
Xiaomi pairs that capacity with two drainage options: a 4.5 L removable tank or a continuous drain hose for longer unattended operation.
Smart modes and quieter operation
The dehumidifier offers three operating modes: Smart, Dry and Sleep. In Smart mode, an onboard humidity sensor automatically adjusts performance to match room conditions, while Sleep mode targets lower noise, with Xiaomi claiming operation down to 35.5 dB(A).
Controls are available through a built-in touch display that shows relative humidity in real time, alongside remote access in the Xiaomi Home app. The device also supports voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, aligning it with multi-platform smart home setups.
Design details and safety features
Xiaomi says the dehumidifier includes a child lock and an automatic shutoff function designed to trigger if the unit tips over. The appliance comes in a white finish with integrated wheels, and Xiaomi lists its size as 300 x 660 mm.
Xiaomi has not yet confirmed pricing or a release timeline for specific markets. If it reaches Europe, it would sit alongside the Xiaomi Smart Dehumidifier Lite, which Xiaomi currently sells in Germany for €179.99, offering a clue to where the new model may land in the lineup.
