HKC has introduced its latest 27-inch gaming monitor, the G27H2Max, initially launched in China with a promotional pre-order price of just 799 yuan (around $112 USD).

Impressive Specs for the Price

The G27H2Max sports a 2560×1440 QHD Fast IPS panel and supports up to a 220Hz overclocked refresh rate. It delivers a 1 ms Gray-to-Gray response time and maintains a static contrast ratio of 1000:1—ideal for fast-paced gameplay.

Color performance is strong, with support for 8-bit color depth, 95% DCI‑P3, and 125% sRGB coverage. The monitor also comes professionally calibrated, averaging a ΔE of less than 2, ensuring accurate and vivid visuals suitable for both gamers and creators. HDR compliance comes via VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, offering peak brightness up to 400 nits and a standard brightness level of 350 nits in SDR mode.

Gaming-Focused Enhancements and Eye Comfort

To minimize motion blur, the G27H2Max includes HKC’s DIC (Dynamic Image Clarity) technology. It also offers a hardware-level low blue light mode that protects users from eye strain during extended use without compromising color quality.

Gaming-specific features include Adaptive Sync to prevent screen tearing, along with built-in enhancements such as custom crosshairs, game timers, and genre-specific visual presets for FPS, RPG, and racing games—letting users quickly tailor the experience to match their play style.

Sleek Design with Wall-Mount Compatibility

The monitor has a minimalist design featuring ultra-thin bezels and a compact hexagonal base. While the included stand does not support height or tilt adjustments, the display is VESA mount compatible (75×75 mm) for wall or arm mounting.

Ports and Connectivity

Connectivity includes:

  • Two HDMI 2.0 ports
  • One DisplayPort 1.4
  • A 3.5 mm audio jack

Note that there are no USB ports or built-in speakers.
