Asus has unveiled a new monitor built specifically for gaming fans, introducing the ROG Zephyrus X—a 31.5-inch OLED display that stands out as the first of its size to offer dual operating modes.
This new model can run at 4K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate, or switch to Full HD at a blazing 330Hz, depending on the gaming demands. It features LG’s third-generation WOLED panel, a built-in KVM switch, and supports both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync, making it a smooth and stutter-free experience for players.
The monitor boasts an ultra-fast 0.03ms response time and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum. It meets the DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and is coated with TrueBlack Glossy OLED film, which cuts ambient light reflections by 38%.

To protect the OLED panel, Asus has added some clever features. A “Neo” proximity sensor shuts the screen off automatically when the user steps away, helping reduce burn-in risk. Additionally, the OLED Care+ system handles pixel shifting and periodic panel refreshing to maintain screen health. All of these settings are controlled through the DisplayWidget Center.
For a better gaming edge, the monitor includes AI Visual enhancements, a dynamic crosshair, and shadow boosting to improve visual clarity and target tracking. Asus also redesigned the base to be 45% smaller, giving gamers more room on their desks.
Port-wise, it includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, a USB-C with 15W charging and DP Alt mode, plus a 3.5mm headphone jack. Inside, an advanced cooling system helps manage heat and further protects the OLED screen from burn-in.
The Asus ROG Zephyrus X is expected to retail for around €770 (approximately $840). However, for now, it’s only launching in China, with no official word on availability in Europe or other regions.
