OnePlus Pad 4 teased ahead of April launch: a bigger 13 380 mAh battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 raise the stakes

OnePlus has confirmed key specifications for its next flagship Android tablet, the OnePlus Pad 4, ahead of an April 30 launch event in India.

The company is positioning the device as a notable step up from the OnePlus Pad 3, with upgrades focused on battery and performance.

The headline feature is a 13 380 mAh battery, which OnePlus says is about a 10% increase over the previous generation. That larger cell is likely aimed at heavy media and productivity use on the Pad 4’s big screen, where battery life can be a deciding factor.

Snapdragon upgrade targets flagship speed

OnePlus also confirmed the Pad 4 will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, a newer chip than the one used in its predecessor. The move signals an emphasis on sustained performance for multitasking, high-refresh gaming and on-device content creation.

On the display side, the tablet is set to feature a 13.2-inch panel with a 3 392 x 2 400 resolution, which OnePlus markets as 3.4K. Audio is another selling point, with an eight-speaker setup intended to support movies, music and gaming without external speakers.

Stylus and launch details to watch

For pen input, OnePlus says the Pad 4 supports the OnePlus Stylo Pro with 16 000 pressure levels, though the accessory will be sold separately. That detail suggests OnePlus is aiming at students and creatives, while keeping the entry price of the tablet itself more flexible.

The Pad 4 is scheduled to debut on April 30 at 12:00 local time in India, but OnePlus has not yet confirmed wider international availability. For now, the product has appeared only on OnePlus India channels, leaving potential global buyers waiting for regional launch plans.
