TCL A400 Pro NXTVISION heads to Europe with matte 4K QD-Mini LED and art mode, plus UK pricing hints at what’s next

TCL is preparing to bring its A400 Pro NXTVISION, an art-style 4K TV, to Europe after the model’s earlier rollout in China. The set is designed to double as wall decor, pairing a slim profile with a light walnut woodgrain-look frame and an always-on artwork display.

A key part of the art TV pitch is the matte screen finish, intended to reduce reflections and make displayed images look more like prints than a glossy panel.

TCL also includes an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts brightness to help the screen blend into a room’s lighting.

Display and gaming focus

The A400 Pro is a QD-Mini LED TV built around an HVA panel and a 4K resolution. TCL markets a 144 Hz native refresh rate, with a motion mode that can push the figure up to 288 Hz depending on content and settings.

HDR support includes Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ and HLG, aiming to improve tone mapping across different viewing conditions. TCL also lists 93% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and a typical brightness figure of 400 nits.

For gaming, the TV includes TCL’s Game Master features and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support to reduce tearing and stutter. HDMI 2.1 connectivity is included, alongside eARC for simpler pass-through to sound systems.

Google TV and European rollout

Software is based on Google TV, with Google Assistant support and common casting options such as Miracast. Wireless connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.4, rounding out the set’s living-room-friendly feature list.

TCL’s global product listing shows planned sizes of 55, 65, 75, 85 and 98 inches, while the UK is also set to get a smaller 43-inch option. TCL has confirmed UK prices starting at £599 for 43 inches, rising to £1,399 for the 75-inch model, though a specific release date has not been announced.

Pricing and availability for other European countries have not been detailed yet, but the UK figures provide an early signal of where TCL may position the A400 Pro against established art TV rivals. More regional announcements are expected as TCL finalizes its broader European launch plans.
