Star Wars Galactic Racer release date appears in Steam Deluxe Edition leak, pointing to October 2026 launch
A possible release date for Star Wars Galactic Racer has surfaced after an apparent early Steam listing for the game’s Deluxe Edition appeared online, then was quickly removed. The listing suggested an October 6, 2026 launch, though neither Fuse Games nor publisher Secret Mode has confirmed the date.
The timing matters because it would mark the first major Star Wars racing release in more than two decades, following 2002’s Star Wars Racer Revenge. Fans have been waiting to see whether modern hardware would bring back high-speed podracing with online features and contemporary handling.
What the leak says so far?
Social media trackers captured the Steam page elements before they disappeared, including a date graphic tied to the Deluxe Edition. Because storefront assets can be placeholders, the date should be treated as provisional until an official announcement or platform-wide update appears.
The same leaked material outlined Deluxe Edition bonuses such as additional podracers, exclusive arcade events, a digital art book, and cosmetic items like a livery and player banner. A physical Deluxe version was also described as including a steelbook, suggesting retail plans alongside digital sales.
Part of a broader Star Wars slate
Galactic Racer is one of several Star Wars games in development or recently announced across different studios and genres. The franchise has leaned into action-adventure hits in recent years, but new projects indicate a push to diversify with strategy and racing.
That broader pipeline has also made release plans harder to pin down, especially as some Star Wars projects have been delayed or canceled in the past. For now, players will likely watch for updates through official store pages and publisher communications to see if October 2026 holds.
