Govee Outdoor Spotlights Lite arrive with Matter: a lower-cost smart lighting option for patios and gardens

Govee has expanded its outdoor smart lighting lineup with the Outdoor Spotlights Lite, a more affordable alternative to its earlier Outdoor Spotlights 2. The new model is rolling out through Govee’s online stores in North America and Europe.

The Outdoor Spotlights Lite use RGBWIC LEDs, offering color effects alongside adjustable white tones. Govee says the lights can produce up to 450 lumens and are fully dimmable for accent lighting or brighter highlighting.

Matter support broadens smart home compatibility

A key feature is Matter support, which is designed to make devices easier to connect across major smart home platforms. In practice, that can reduce the friction of mixing brands, although features may still vary by ecosystem and controller.

Control is also available through the Govee Home app over Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, with more than 60 preset scenes listed. The app-based setup targets users who want quick seasonal effects as well as everyday landscape lighting.

Built for year-round outdoor use

Govee rates the Outdoor Spotlights Lite at IP67 for dust and water resistance. The company also lists an operating range of -20 to 45°C, positioning the lights for year-round installations in many climates.

Each light comes in a black housing and can be mounted in the ground using included stake accessories. That makes the set suitable for lighting paths, trees, walls, and garden features without permanent fixtures.

Pricing is set at $99.99 in the US and €99.99 in the EU for a four-pack, undercutting higher-priced options in Govee’s own catalog. A UK release has not been confirmed, and availability may vary by region.
